My Love, My Angel
by crowleyscardigan and jesmalestiel (originally published on AO3)
Summary:
Two sonnets inspired by the GOetry Pillow Fight prompt “Kiss.”
My Love
My love’s eyes are the warm gold of the sun,
Their skin and scales the soft caress of dawn.
My love’s hair is the flames of a war won.
Their lips curve into a smile, a bow drawn.
My love’s laugh is precious, rare as the day,
Their presence, a balm to my weary soul.
My love’s anxieties I must cast away,
Their happiness is my ultimate goal.
My love’s hands are my favourites to hold,
Their fingers fold perfectly into mine.
My love’s face is beautiful and so bold,
Their freckles in concert with laughter lines.
My love’s kiss is precious, sweet without end
Their touch is worth risking God’s wrath again.
My Angel
My angel, you bastard, I’ve long adored
The way your eyes shine like a summer sky.
The way you lick your lips, hungry for more,
But food is not where your interest lies.
My angel, I’m yours, I have always been
Though long I doubted you felt the same way.
I doubt no more; with your touch on my skin,
You pour your love into me ev’ry day.
My angel, your hands are so soft, so strong,
So perfect to hold me throughout the night.
Your face, it glows, your smile free. So long
We waited, we hid, but now we shine bright.
My angel, your kiss, the most precious thing,
Your lips on mine, how they make my heart sing!
